Public Works is responsible for 672 miles of roads and 10 bridges within Grant County. The Highway Department handles the operations and maintenance of roads, bridges and intersections to ensure safe passage through our county.

Grant County Surveyor
The County Surveyor maintains Government corner records and makes the records available to the public by request. The County Surveyor is Loren Wright. He can be reached by calling the Grant County Public Works Department at 620-356-4837 between the hours of 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Noxious Weed Department
The Noxious Weed Department is responsible for the control and eradication of noxious weeds on all property within Grant County as required by state law (K.S.A. 2-1318). Ty Shoemaker directs the Noxious Weed Department. He can be reached by calling 620-353-8199 or by fax 620-353-1999.
