Please join the Grant County Republican Precinct Committee in congratulating Darrin Figgins for being chosen County Commissioner District 1.

On October 1, 2024 Darrin Figgins will be sworn in as Grant County Commissioner District 1.  The announcement came after the Republican Precinct Committee consisting of 8 members interviewed 14 candidates for the vacated position.  After deliberations the Committee voted and Darrin Figgins was given the nomination, his name was submitted to Governor Kelly for  official appointment.  Mr. Figgins will fill the unexpired term left by the resignation of Marty Long who was appointed to the Kansas House of Representatives 124th District in August.

The Republican Precinct Committee wishes to thank all candidates showing interest in the position.  Grant County is so fortunate to have people in the community willing to get involved and step up to a challenge.
