Grant County receives KDOT Aviation funding for AvGas Fuel System to be installed at the Ulysses Airport.

Plans and Specifications are on file and may be examined at the office of the Airport Manager, 801 W. Airport Boulevard, Ulysses, KS 67880, and at the office of the Consulting Engineers, Lochner, 15717 College Boulevard, Lenexa, Kansas 66219.  Questions concerning the Plans and Specifications for this project should be directed to Ian Wright at Lochner’s Office in Lenexa, Kansas at (816) 945-5840.

 A digital download of construction plans, project specifications, contract documents, and other related contract information may be ordered online at www.QuestCDN.com.  These documents may be downloaded for $60.00.   Payment must be made directly to Quest CDN.  This cost includes access to online bidding.  There will be no refunds.  The Quest CDN number for this project is 9515211.

 A virtual pre-bid meeting for all prospective bidders will be held via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday, February 11th, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. (CST).  You are not required to have Microsoft Teams to attend the pre-bid meeting as you are able to access the meeting via the online Microsoft Teams program. To receive an invitation to the pre-bid meeting, contact Tonya Torres with Lochner at ttorres@hwlochner.com. Prospective bidders will have the opportunity to tour the project site. Prior to touring the project site, you must schedule your visit with Steve Rice, Airport Manager. You can contact Steve via email at srice@pld.com or via phone at (620) 356-4528.

 Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid.   The bid guaranty may be by certified check or bid bond made payable to Grant County, Kansas.

 The right is reserved, as the Sponsor may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received.   This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor.  

 This project is subject to the requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation. The owner has established a contract goal of 0.00% participation for small business concerns owned and controlled by qualified disadvantaged business enterprises (DBE). The bidder shall make and document good faith efforts, as defined in Appendix A of 49 CFR Part 26, to meet the established goal.
