Marty Long, Grant County Commissioner District 1, has been nominated by the Republican Precinct Committee to fill the unexpired term of David Younger for the 124th Kansas House of Representative position. This leaves Commissioner District 1 vacant.
Grant County will have vacancy in County Commissioner District 1 on August 21, 2024. The elected position will be recommended to the Governor for appointment by the Republican Precinct Committee. The chosen person will fill the remaining term formally held by Marty Long and will be up for election in 2026.
