[ARCHIVED] Health Department Seeking Cleaning Service

The Grant County Health Department will be taking bids for cleaning services until 5:00 p.m. June 14, 2024. Contact Denise James, Health Department Administrator at 620-356-1545 to schedule an appointment to evaluate the new facility. The successful bidder will be required to furnish proof of liability and workman’s compensation insurance. Bid shall be sealed in an envelope with the words “Health Department Cleaning Bid” written on the outside of the envelope. Sealed bids will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. June 14, 2024, and opened at the Commissioner meeting on June 18, 2024.

GRANT COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT

CLEANING CONTRACT SPECIFICATIONS

 The following represents the required cleaning to be done:

DAILY

  1. Empty trash cans
  2. Check & replenish toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap.
  3. Clean sinks, countertops, and mirrors
  4. Clean toilets
  5. Sweep tile floor/mop if needed.
  6. Vacuum all carpets.

WEEKLY

  1. Dust all furniture including desks, phones, file cabinets, wood cabinets and windowsills.
  2. Thoroughly clean and disinfect all countertops and door handles.
  3. Empty outdoor trash cans

MONTHLY

  1. Clean and disinfect office chairs and wipe down bases.
  2. Vacuum air vents
  3. Dust baseboards and office doors.
  4. Clean and disinfect toys.

ANNUALLY

  1. Wash all walls in department.

AS NEEDED

  1. Clean light fixtures.
  2. Clean walls to remove scuff marks, dirt, etc.
  3. Spot clean carpets

County will provide paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags and hand soap. Contractor will be responsible for notifying health office staff of any needed supplies.

Contractor will provide cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.

Contractor must provide liability Insurance (minimum $100,000) and Worker’s Compensation Insurance. Proof of Insurance will be required upon signing the cleaning contract. Contractor will also be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
