The Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 10:00 am with Chairman Linda McHenry , Commissioner Carl Higgs and the County Clerk present.  Commissioner Marty Long was absent due to another commitment.  The meeting was called to conduct a conference call with Bob Fassbender, Vice President and Paul Reinhard, Dairy Support Manager with T.C. Jacoby and Company.

 

Attending this meeting from the City of Ulysses, Mayor Thadd Kistler and Daron Hall, City Administrator; Economic Development , Leslie Mangels, Director and Board Members, Greg Wartman and Ray Velasquez.

 

The dairy product marketing firm is looking at Grant County as a potential site for a dairy processing plant project.  Mr. Fassbender and Mr. Reinhard shared their clients' profile.  Discussion was held on possible building sites and incentives Grant County and Ulysses could offer.  The city and county agreed to put together an information packet for T.C. Jacoby and Company by Friday.

 

The commissioners adjourned at 11:35 am and will meet again in regular session on September 6, 2011.
