Minutes for October 21, 2010

Vivian Button called the meeting to order at 12:06 PM.  Members present were Jerry Deckert, Frank Goldsby, Richard Everett, Sheila Brown and Vivian Button.  

 

Sheila Brown made a motion to accept the minutes to the last meeting.  Motion Seconded by Richard Everett.   Motion carried.

 

The Mitigation Plan and Debris Management plan have been submitted but we have not heard anything back yet. The Solid Waste Management Plan has been approved.

 

Vivian attended CAMEO (Computer Assisted Management of Emergency Operations) Training in Guymon Ok.  We also attended GIS and GPS training in Garden City sponsored by the Southwest Regional Emergency Planning Council.

 

In January we will start going over the Local Emergency Operations Plan (LEOP) at the LEPC meetings.  The LEOP consist of the basic plan and 15 ESFs (Emergency Support Function).  We review the plan yearly and every five years we have to go completely thru the plan and make any needed changes.  Richard Everett stated Seward County has been working on their plan at the LEPC meeting and they found several things that needed changed.

 

Jerry Jo Deckert made a motion to start the LEPC meetings at 11:30AM starting in January to have adequate time to look at the plan.  Frank Goldsby seconded.

 

CERT class did not make.  First Responder Class is going well they will test on November 20.

 

Vulnerable needs registry was discussed and information handed out.

 

Grant County Health Department Point of Distribution exercise will be October 26.

 

Sheila stated the Health Department has given out 442 shots.

 

Next meeting will be November 18.
