Vehicle Registration Online
Easy Vehicle Registration
There are two new ways to renew your registration: electronically using your computer or telephone.

If you meet the following criteria, you may now renew your vehicle registration(s) electronically:
  • Your registration(s) must be current and valid.
  • Your insurance company must participate in the electronic renewal process and supply the Kansas DMV with your current insurance information.
  • You cannot owe any delinquent taxes.
  • You must have a copy of your renewal notice.
  • The following plate types cannot be renewed using E-tags: Children’s Trust Fund; Disabled Veteran; Educational Institutions; Ex-Prisoner of War; National Guard; Personalized Disabled; Pearl Harbor Survivor and Shiners.

Payment may be made electronically by using Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express credit cards.

If you qualify for Kansas E-tags, your decal(s) and/or plate(s), along with your official receipt will be mailed from your County Treasurer's Motor Vehicle Office in approximately 10 days. Please allow sufficient time when renewing electronically to ensure your registration does not expire. Motor vehicles cannot be legally operated without a current decal or plate.

If you renew electronically or by mail, a $.50 mailing and handling fee per vehicle applies. This fee is mandatory.
