About Maternal & Child Health Services
The Child Health and Maternal & Infant Health Service is a comprehensive health program designed to serve pregnant women and their children and to improve the health of the mother during pregnancy in order to deliver a healthy baby.
Child Health Services
Services Provided
- Age-appropriate, Well Child maintenance which include growth measurements, developmental screening, physical exams, and laboratory testing as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
- Age-appropriate Immunizations
- Age-appropriate counseling for common childhood concerns (nutrition, toilet habits, discipline, dental, and safety concerns)
- Blood lead screenings from six months to six years
- School health assessments
- Free screenings at Russell Child Development Center

Healthy Start Home Visitor Program (HSHV)
The HSHV program is free and provides a home visit to expectant and new parents in Grant County. It provides information and support related to pregnancy health and about becoming a new parent. The program's purpose is for every woman to have a healthy baby and a healthy family.
