Spring Clean Up
The Transfer Station hours of operation are 7 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday and 8 am to 5 pm, Saturday to receive disposal free of charge. The city crew will be picking up items that are placed in the alley behind your property. If you do not have an alley, place items in front of your house, out of the way of traffic. They ask that you not place items beside trash containers and that you do not block the alley. Also, if you do not want something picked up mark it as “NOT TRASH” or “DO NOT TAKE”. The city will pick up items such as furniture, appliances, mattresses, wood, tires, etc. Please sort into categories for pick up: wood, metals, tires, and appliances. The city will not pick up the following items: chemicals, concrete, and items on personal property. The city will start on the west side of town and work through to the east side of town. Please have everything out before April 19th. The city will make one trip through the whole town and will not go through again.
