The Board of County Commissioners met as a Board of Canvassers to review the ballots cast at the Special Election held on October 21, 2003. Chairman Carl Higgs and Commissioner Gene Schwein and the County Clerk attended the meeting.

 

            The Special Election was held to decide whether or not to reduce the Recreation Commission mill levy by 1.48 mills.

 

            No discrepancies were noted in the canvass of votes cast. After adding the provisional ballots there was no change in the official results. The results are recorded in the Abstract of Votes Cast Journal in the office of the county clerk.

 

            The commissioners adjourned to meet again in regular session on November 4, 2003.
