            The Board of County Commissioners met in special session at 9:00 a.m. with all members and the County Clerk present. The meeting was called by Chairman Carl Higgs to discuss funding for railroad rehabilitation.

 

            Madison Traster made the motion to approve Resolution No. 09-06 approving funding to the Western Kansas Development Organization for its obligations under a contract to rehabilitate railroad for five years, commencing in project year 2010 and continuing through project year 2014, to assist in the rehabilitation of the Cimarron Valley Railroad. Marty Long seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

 

            The commissioners adjourned to meet again in regular session on September 1, 2009.
