The Board
of County Commissioners met in special session at 1:30 p.m. with all members
and the County Clerk present.
The meeting
was called to open bids for the airport project and to make a decision on new
software for the Register of Deeds office.
The
following bids were received:
Castle Rock
Construction: Base Bid $1,339,874.12
and Alt. 1 $66,192.25
Electric $101,368.20
Dobson
Brothers Construction: Base Bid
$1,196,888.20 and Alt. 1 $60,760.95
Wittwer
Construction: Base Bid $1,579,197.69
and Alt. 1 $65,303.90

Electric bid $161,469.63
The airport engineers will review the bids and final
approval will be made at the next regular commissioner meeting. A recommendation will be submitted to the
FAA for their review and possible approval.
Carl Higgs
made the motion to approve the low bid of software from Nex-Tech for the
Register of Deeds office at a cost of $4,000.
Gene Schwein seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
The
commissioners adjourned to meet again in regular session on July 16, 2002.
