The Board of County Commissioners met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. with all members and the County Clerk present.

The monthly department head meeting was held with the following in attendance: Tom Kramer, Road Foreman; Sean Gooding, Emergency Medical Services Director; Don Button, Emergency Management Coordinator; John Crosby, Fire Chief; Todd Hampton, City/County Building Official; Frank Goldsby, Public Works Administrator; Sherry Thompson, Health Department Administrator; Rita Gee, Treasurer; Lance Babcock, Sheriff; Nancy Ramski, Civic Center Building and Grounds Manager; and Mary K. Sullivan, Register of Deeds.

Gene Schwein made the motion to approve the minutes of the July 20, 2004 meeting and the claims against the various funds of the county. Madison Traster seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Darl Henson, Extension Council Agent, Todd Hampton, City/County Building Official, and Bob Forsen, building designer, met with the board. Mr. Forsen reported on the site for a new building for the Extension Service. Mr. Hampton said there is not enough room on the south side of the shop to put the building so it will be built west of there. Plan details were discussed. The decision was made to complete plans and specifications for the project and advertise for bids.

Steve Rice, Auditor, reviewed 2005 budget requests with the commissioners. A copy of the budgets as approved by the commissioners is attached as a part of this record.
